A.P. Markfed
A.P. Markfed (Andhra Pradesh State Co-operative Marketing Federation Ltd) was established in the year 1957 with Head-Quarters at hyderabad. It is a federation of Marketing Co-operative Societies in Andhra Pradesh with the main object of helping the farmers to secure better price for their produce by taking care of their market needs and providing agricultural inputs. After State bifurcation Head office was shifted to Vijayawada Against this objective the Markfed’s present activity consists of sale of farm inputs like chemical fertilizers, pesticides, procurement of Agricultural commodities from Farmers through its member societies and maintenance of godowns.
MANAGEMENT
The Management of Markfed is vested with an elected Board. The present Board consists of 7 Directors and 5 Government nominees i.e. one representative from APCOB, Managing Director of AP Markfed, Commissioner for Cooperation and Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Commissioner for Agriculture and Commissioner for Marketing. The details of present Board is as follows.
HISTORY
A.P. Markfed was established on 19th Sept 1957 with Head Quarters at Hyderabad on 30th Nov’ 1965. The area of operations was extended to entire Andhra Pradesh with Head Quarters at Hyderabad.Â

Minimum Support Price for Kharif crops for Marketing Season 2021-2022.
FERTILIZERS
Markfed supplied 33601 Metric tonnes of fertilizers to farmers for the current Kharif season.
BIO-METRIC
MARKFED supplied 1500 Bio-Metric machines to the procurement centers across the state for Bio-Metric Authentication of farmers to eliminate proxy.
HIGH PROCUREMENT
MARKFED has done the highest amount of procurement in history during this rabi season. 520000 MT of agriculture crops procured as on date.
